"This painting was inspired by hiding our true emotions from the world. We put on a brave face, so that no one will know the true pain, sadness and darkness we are truly feeling. Why do we do this? Were we taught that it is no ok to express our sadness or is simply because we don’t want anyone to know what we are truly feeling because that would show weakness? I encourage anyone to be honest with yourself and allow all your emotions to shine; life is hard as it is without having to hide.
